During the time of slavery in the South, slave ships were often unable to make it through the Outer Banks because of the treacherous landscapes. From the looks of this picture, it seems as if they may have lost some passengers along the way.

I live in Texas.  I live about two hours away from Houston.  Y’all, guess what?  Houston is actually one of the more accepting/tolerant cities in this part of the state.  I’m not surprised, but I am disgusted. 

Texas is a trip.  People don’t even try to hide their racism in Southeast Texas.  It’s right there out in the open.  These folks will call you out your name to your face and when things happen, people have NO CONCEPT of things being racist.  They always say, “That’s just the way that I was raised.”  Uhh…  Yo ass was raised racist!
